“Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
When does life begin?
I used to think that life began as conception. I know that this is what science and belief says, but now I am deeply convinced that life began with us. With every passing month I come to the conclusion that life began with your father. With his smile, his beautiful blue eyes, his laugh, his walk, his heartbeat. It begins with me. My awkward stance, dark brown hair, deeply bold brown eyes, my heart beat. Our heartbeats together, oh how we beat for you, for your life. What some believe begins at conception, I know has started with a wish for you, for our heart beats to become yours. We yearn for our eyes, our smiles, our skin complexion, to become all a part of you. All of this will be formed into a beautiful soul, full of the wonder and awe that we shine into this world every single day. Until then, we wait. Knowing full well, that one day, our heart beat will become yours. For this day we are hopeful, for this day… oh how we wait.
